Scheele's green Chem.|ˈʃeɪləz griːn| [f. the name of Karl Wilhelm Scheele (1742–1786), German-born Swedish chemist, who first prepared it.] A hydrated form of copper arsenite, Cu3(AsO3)2.xH2O, formerly used as a pigment in calico printing and wallpaper manufacture.
