scleromyxœdema Path.|ˌsklɪərəʊmɪksiːˈdiːmə| Also -myxedema. [ad. G. skleromyxödem (H. H. Gottron 1954, in Arch. f. Dermatol. u. Syphilis CXCIX. 71): see sclero- and myxœdema s.v. myxo-.] A disease characterized by the extensive proliferation of fibroblasts and deposition of mucopolysaccharides in the skin, causing distortions of the features and lichenous eruptions.
