1. orig. U.S. An informal dance in which participants typically form a line and perform jumping and kicking movements.

a. Any jumping or springing movement reminiscent of that made by a rabbit; spec. (in Figure-skating) a movement usually consisting of a leap made from one foot to the toe of the other whilst gliding forwards, followed immediately by a return to the original foot.

b. Motorcycling and Cycling. A manouevre in which the bicycle, motorcycle, etc., is lifted from the ground with a jumping motion, usually in order to clear an obstruction; (also) such an obstruction itself, esp. when deliberately included in a course as an obstacle.
