bushveld|ˈbʊʃfɛlt, -vɛlt| Also bush veldt. [ad. Afrikaans bosveld: see bush n.1 and veld.] a. Veld composed largely of bush. b. (Usu. with capital initial.) The wooded region of north-western, northern, and eastern Transvaal, the low-lying portion of which is called the Lowveld or Low Country.
