‖ puttony|ˈputoɲ| Pl. puttonys. [Hungarian; cf. Hung. puttonyos holding as much as goes into one puttony (e.g. öt puttonyos tokaji five-basket Tokay).] In Hungary, a basket or dosser made of wooden staves or wickerwork used to transfer grapes from the vineyard to the wine-press.
