Cabernet|kabɛrne| Formerly also Carbenet, Carbonet. [Fr.] Any of a family of vines, esp. Cabernet Sauvignon (see Sauvignon 1 b), yielding grapes used in wine-making; the grape of these vines. Also, wine made from Cabernet grapes.
