puzzled, ppl. a.|ˈpʌz(ə)ld| [f. puzzle v. + -ed1.] a. Of a person, the mind, head, etc.: Nonplussed, bewildered, confused; perplexed to find a solution. b. Of a thing: Made puzzling; involved, complicated, intricate; † tangled (obs.).
