‖ pyrenium Bot.|paɪˈriːnɪəm| [mod.L., ad. Gr. πῡρήνιον, dim. of πῡρήν: see pyrene1.] The hypothecium of a nucleiform or angiocarpous apothecium, i.e. that of an angiocarpous lichen.
