pyretic, a. and n.|paɪər-, pɪˈrɛtɪk| [ad. mod.L. pyretic-us, f. Gr. πυρετ-ός fever: see -ic. Cf. Gr. πυρεκτικός pyrectic.] A. adj. 1. Of or pertaining to fever; producing feverish symptoms; tending to raise the bodily temperature.
