Combining form of carbon n., used before consonants, in names of carbon compounds. carbo-hydrogen; carbo-hydrous, carbo-methylic adjs.; carbo-cyclic a., containing a ring of carbon atoms only; carbo-dynamite, a patented explosive, in which fine charcoal is used as the absorbent.
