carcinomatosis Path.|ˌkɑːsɪnəʊməˈtəʊsɪs| [mod.L., f. L. carcinōmat- (see carcinomatous a.) + -osis.] Widespread dissemination of carcinoma throughout the body; applied also to a more limited spread when it is substantial in amount but diffuse, without the usual separate nodules.
