† ˈcarnilate, v. Obs. rare. [f. med.L. kernellāre, quernellāre (kernellate); cf. F. carnelé ‘imbattled, having battlements’ (Cotgr.): see carnel, and crenellate.] To kernel, crenellate, or furnish with battlements.
