carotic, a. Pathol. and Phys.|kəˈrɒtɪk| [ad. Gr. καρωτικός stupefying, soporific, f. καροῦν to stupefy. Cf. F. carotique.] 1. a. ‘Having power to stupefy or produce stupefaction’ (Syd. Soc. Lex.). b. Of the nature of or pertaining to stupor or carus; in a state of carus.
