carphology Med.|kɑːˈfɒlədʒɪ| Also in L. form carphologia. [ad. Gr. καρϕολογία (Galen), f. κάρϕος twig, straw, bit of wool + λέγειν to collect.] The movements of delirious patients, as if searching for or grasping at imaginary objects, or picking the bed-clothes; floccilation.
