septicidal, a. Bot.|ˈsɛptɪsaɪdəl| [f. septum + L. -cīdĕre, comb. form of cædĕre to cut + -al1.] Applied to the form of dehiscence in which the pod splits through the dissepiments. Also to the capsule so divided. Hence septiˈcidally adv., with septicidal dehiscence.
