cephalodiscus|ˌsɛfələʊˈdɪskəs| [mod.L. (W. C. M‘Intosh 1882, in Ann. & Mag. Nat. Hist. 5th Ser. X. 337), f. Gr. κεϕαλή head (see cephalo-) + δίσκος disc.] A member of the genus so named of primitive deep-sea chordates of the class Pterobranchia.
