‖ sherbaff Obs. Also 7 serebaffe, seribaff, serebast, 8 sherbaffe, sherbassee. [Prob. Persian, f. shīr lion (used to denote excellence of quality) + bāf stem of bāftan to weave. Cf. baft.] A kind of silk of Persia. Also sherbaff silk.
