chilognathan, a., n. Zool.|kaɪˈlɒgnəθən| [f. mod.L. Chilognatha n. pl., name of the order, f. Gr. χεῖλος lip + γνάθ-ος jaw.] Belonging to, or a member of, an order of Myriapoda or Centipedes, with segmented bodies and heads furnished with two pairs of maxillæ, of which the second pair are united to form a lower lip.
