Quasimodo|ˌkwɑːzɪˈməʊdəʊ| Also (erron.) Quasimoto, and with small initial. [f. the name of the hunchback in Victor Hugo's novel Notre-Dame de Paris.] A surfing feat performed in a crouching position (see quots. 1962 and 1963).
