chloralamide|klɔərəˈleɪmaɪd| [ad. G. chloralamid, shortened form of chloralformamid: cf. chloral and amide.] A compound that results from a condensation reaction of chloral with an acid amide; spec. chloral formamide, CCl3·CH(OH)·NH· CHO, a mild hypnotic.
