‖ shtreimel, n.|ˈʃtreɪm(ə)l| Also shtreiml, streimal. Pl. -lach, (anglicized) streimls, etc. [Yiddish, f. MHG. streimel stripe, strip.] A round, broad-brimmed hat edged with fur worn by some Chasidic Jews.
