clithers Also 6 clitheren, 9 dial. clider, -s |klaɪdəz|. [App. f. an OE. vb. clíðan (whence æt cliðende ‘adhaerentem’, in 9th c. Bede Glosses, Sweet O.E.T. 181) to stick. Cf. also OE. cliðwyrt ‘glossed Rubea minor’ (Cockayne, Leechd.).] Another name of the plant Clivers or Cleavers.
