ˈsilverweed Also silver-weed, silver weed. [silver n. Cf. Du. zilverkruid, G. silberkraut.] 1. A common wayside plant of the genus Potentilla (P. anserina) with prostrate rooting stems and silvery leaves; goose-grass or wild tansy.
