1887Jrnl. Chem. Soc. LII. ii. 1044 Anhydroacetyl⁓orthamidobenzamide is regarded as a derivative of a hypothetical base, quinazoline,..isomeric with cinnoline and quinoxaline. 1903Ibid. LXXXIV. i. 446 By oxidising this base with potassium ferricyanide, quinazoline..was at last successfully prepared; it..crystallises from light petroleum in glistening flakes resembling naphthalene, has a bitter, burning taste, and..is odourless at the ordinary temperature. 1926H.
