coccogˈnidic, cocˈcognic Chem. [f. L. coccum berry + trivial name of Daphne Gnidium, a species of Mezereon, named from Gnidus or Cnidus, an ancient town of Caria.] In c. acid, an acid, crystallizing in quadrangular colourless prisms, obtained from the seeds of Daphne Gnidium.
