▪ I. ‖ complexus1|kəmˈplɛksəs| [In form a. L. complexus (see complex n.); but in sense treated as a compound of L. com- together + plexus plaiting.] An interwoven structure; an involved or complicated system; a complex, ‘tissue’. (Cf. plexus.)
