A name applied, after Buffon, to the koodoo (Antilope strepsiceros), to which word it is apparently related.
1774Goldsm. Nat. Hist. (1776) III. 80 The second anomalous animal of the goat-kind, Mr. Buffon calls the Condoma. It is supposed to be equal in size to the largest stag, but with hollow horns..with varied flexures. 1777G. Forster Voy. round W.
