rackett|ˈrækɪt| Also racket, ranket(t. [a. G. rackett, rankett.] 1. A Renaissance musical instrument of the oboe family, consisting of a squat cylinder containing nine parallel channels joined alternately at top and bottom to form a continuous tube nine times the length of the cylinder.
