[a. F. conterminer (Palsgr.), ad. L. conterminā-re: see conterminate. Only intrans. in L., but in 16th c. F. trans. and intr. as in English: cf. L. terminare.]
1. trans. To make conterminous; to fix the limits or end of.
1624Heywood Gunaik. vi. 296 That hee might contermine his Empire with the Ocean. 1633J. Done tr. Aristeas' Hist. Septuagint 102 So hath he finished and contermined everything, according with its time and place.
2. intr. To be conterminous; to end together.
