Socceroo, n. Austral. colloq.|sɒkəˈruː| [Blend of soccer n. and 'roo n.2, on analogy with *kangaroo n. 3 i.] In pl. (With capital initial.) The name of the Australian international soccer team. Occas. sing. in attrib. use.
