Douglas (see Douglas3), according to which the supposed chronic deficiency in the purchasing power of consumers was to be remedied through a reduction of prices by means of subsidies to producers or through the giving of additional money to consumers; occas. also, a subsidy under this system. Also short for Social Credit Party or League.
