solanaceous, a. Bot.|sɒləˈneɪʃəs| [f. mod.L. Solanace-æ, f. L. sōlānum nightshade.] Belonging to the Solanaceæ, an order of gamopetalous plants which includes the genera Solanum, Capsicum, Atropa, Hyoscyamus, etc.
