1. The quality or property of being soluble.

4. Special Combs.: solubility curve Chem., a curve showing how the solubility of a substance varies with temperature; solubility product Chem., the product of the concentrations (spec. the activities) of each of the component ions present in a saturated solution of a sparingly soluble salt.
