abiturient|æbɪˈtjʊərɪənt| [G., ad. mod.L. abiturient-, pr. pple. of abiturīre, desiderative of abīre to go away.] In Germany, a pupil who is leaving a ‘gymnasium’ or high-school to enter a university. Also attrib.
