1. Phys. The true skin or derma under the epidermis.
1836Todd Cycl. Anat. I. 246/1 The integument is composed of two layers or pellicles, viz. the epidermis and the corium. 1881Mivart Cat 26 The Corium contains yellow as well as white fibres.
2. Entom. The leathery or horny basal portion of the wing of a heteropterous insect.
