rafwire Aeronaut.|ˈræfwaɪə(r)| Also Rafwire, RAFwire, raf-wire. [f. the initial letters of the Royal Aircraft Factory + wire n.] A kind of wire having a flattened, semi-streamlined cross-section formerly used as bracing wire on aircraft.
