crescograph|ˈkrɛskəgrɑːf, -æ-| [irreg. f. L. crescĕre to grow + -o + -graph.] An instrument invented by Sir Jagadis Chunder Bose (1858–1937), Indian plant physiologist, for recording the rate of growth in plants.
