‖ crostarie Sc.|krɒˈstɑːrɪ| [a. Gaelic crostàraidh, cros-tàra, called also crann-tàra, -tàraidh the cross or beam of gathering.] The fire-cross or fiery cross, used in the Highlands of Scotland to summon the clans to a rendezvous.
