cryptovolcanic, a. Geol.|ˌkrɪptəʊvɒlˈkænɪk| [ad. G. kryptovulkanisch (W. Branco and E. Fraas 1905, in Abh. K. Preuss. Akad. Wiss. 57), f. crypto- + volcanic a.] cryptovolcanic structure: a nearly circular area not associated with igneous rock but having features suggesting volcanic activity.
