cyclosis|saɪˈkləʊsɪs| [a. Gr. κύκλωσις encircling, f. κυκλό-ειν to encircle, to move in a circle.] 1. Biol. A term (proposed by C. H. Schultz in 1831) for the circulation of latex (milky juice) in the vessels of plants; also applied to the circulation of protoplasm in certain cells.
