‖ dairi|ˈdaɪriː| Also 7 dayro. [Japanese, f. Chinese dai great + ri within.] In Japan, properly the palace or court of the Mikado: also a respectful mode of speaking of the mikado or emperor. Hence dairi-sama, lit. lord of the dairi or palace, an appellation of the Mikado.
