[Named by Esmark 1806: irreg. f. initial part of Gr. δατεῖσθαι to divide + -λιθος stone: see -lite.] A borosilicate of calcium, occurring in glassy crystals of various colours, in white opaque compact masses, or in botryoidal masses (botryolite).
