stannotype|ˈstænəʊtaɪp| [f. late L. stann-um tin + Gr. τύπος impression, print, type.] A simplified form of the Woodbury process of photo-mechanical engraving in which a mould obtained from a positive instead of a negative is coated with tinfoil. Also attrib.
