(săr′ə-gŏsə) also Za·ra·go·za (zăr′ə-gōzə, thä′rä-gōthä) A city of northeast Spain on the Ebro River northeast of Madrid. An important city under Roman rule, it was held by the Moors from 714 until 1118.
