On top of that, you'll need goggles, a ski jacket and trousers, gloves, a base layer (thermals) and some fleeces or jumpers.

I start with a thin polyester short-sleeved base layer.

If you want to go lighter, mix a bit of topcoat into the primer; you'll then need less paint to hide this base layer.

It's a perfect everyday jacket worn over a base layer; or team it with a hard-shell for extreme mountain conditions.
