It was originally a reef island made up of two close standing parts.

The surrounding coral reef islands can be reached by boat and the waters lend themselves to diving and snorkeling.

Living on the reef was also healthier as the mosquitoes, which infested the coastal swamps, were not found on the reef islands.

It comprises four reef islands and five true atolls.

Both are located on small discreet areas of private reef islands belonging to the resorts.
