Last month a bicycle trail winding through the reserve's 250 acres was launched, enabling visitors to explore areas they may otherwise miss.

The track was largely converted into a walking and bicycle trail.

The municipality plans to open a hiking/bicycle trail from the town center to the park's visitor center in 2014.

Of this amount, $70,000 was set aside for preliminary engineering studies on the 10.5 mile (16.9 km) bicycle trail.

There are 21.5 miles of hiking trail, 10 miles of cross-country ski trails, a 2-mile bicycle trail and a 4-mile canoe trail.
