As part of the final phase of that process, the painting was taken once again taken to the conservation lab earlier this month.

An on-site conservation lab, which will host demonstrations during the show's run, incorporates modern versions of ancient woodworking tools, brushes and reed pens, and the pigments used to make paint.

It has modern technical areas including conservation lab, workshop, preparation rooms and vault, a 185-seat theatre, public resource centre, gift shop and conference rooms.

Graduates enter the field as bookbinders in custom binderies and university or institutional conservation labs or as self-employed bookbinders and book artists.
