In the latter part of the 1960s the school started its search for a new partner institution.

Students are permitted to use some of their initial credits toward the completion of another program at the partner institution.

The workgroup was composed of public relations officers, enrollment managers, continuing education staff and/or student affairs representatives from each partner institution.

Classes in the off-campus at the master's level programs are held on weekends in the host or partner institution.

By the end of year two, members agreed that each partner institution would be represented with one vote, and the partnership would be considered an alliance.
