Cf. pharmaceutical chemist n.The minor examination of the Pharmaceutical Society was instituted by the 1868 Pharmacy Act, which established two levels of pharmacist, the chemist and druggist and the pharmaceutical chemist. As a result of the Pharmacy Act of 1953 the former category was abolished and the title of pharmaceutical chemist was applied to all.
